Give a little, help a lot: select the "price with donation" to become a Gift Aid visitor and the museum will receive an extra 25p from HMRC for every £1 you give at no extra cost to you.
Norfolk Museums Service was established in 1974 when the County and District Councils in Norfolk agreed to delegate their museum powers to a Joint Committee to manage museums through a county-wide Museums Service. NMAS is now regarded as one of the leaders in the museum sector and in 2012 was successful in its bid for major investment from Arts Council England. NMAS is one of only sixteen museum services in England to be awarded Major Partner Museum status by the Arts Council. Gressenhall is ideally suited for visits from groups of older people. The museum offers a welcoming environment that is packed with places and things to bring back memories and encourage conversation.
Gressenhall is perfect for picnics. There are picnic tables and benches around the workhouse buildings and in the adventure playground. There is also an indoor picnic area for when the weather is less than perfect.
